When you donate your car or vehicle to Goodwill, we will sell it at our bi-weekly auction. After the auction, Goodwill will send you a letter telling you the amount we received for your vehicle. This information can be included your income tax return for proof of donation. Under new tax laws effective in 2005, you may write off the actual amount for which the vehicle sells at auction.
